SST 2025 Summer Championships Recap

From local LSC meets to national-level showdowns, Spring Swim Team athletes made waves across every championship pool this summer. Our swimmers didn't just show up, they stood out. With standout individual performances, new team records, state and national rankings, and medals earned at every level, SST’s championship season was nothing short of spectacular. Whether it was Caius breaking records at Age Group Champs, Jrue climbing the national ranks at Futures and Junior Nationals, or Cason (just five years old!) medaling in multiple events, this summer proved that our small-but-mighty team can compete and win against the best.

Gulf Age Group Champs

July 11–14, 2025 | Long Course (50 meters)
Fleet Aquatic Center, Cypress, TX

A breakout meet for several swimmers, including 2 team records and a TAGS qualification.

TAGS – Texas Age Group Swimming State Championship

July 18–21, 2025 | Long Course (50 meters)
Arlington, TX

TAGS is the most prestigious age-group meet in Texas. Only the best 14 & Under swimmers in the state qualify.

Gulf Senior Champs

With only 6 swimmers, SST achieved 7th place overall and had the highest points-per-swimmer ratio of the meet.

This meet gave our athletes a chance to shine and race hard at the end of the long course season.

Futures Championships

Futures is a USA Swimming national-level meet for the best regional swimmers in the country.

πŸ’¬  Jrue isn’t just fast - he’s the fastest 16-year-old sprinter in the Gulf and ranked top 40 in the nation in both the 50 Free and 50 Fly. A true national contender with Olympic potential.  Jrue is less than 1 second away from the Olympic Trials cut in the 50 Freestyle, his strongest event.


Speedo Junior Nationals

July 30 – August 3, 2025 | 🏊 Long Course (50 meters)
Irvine, CA

Junior Nationals features the fastest 18 & Under swimmers in the country. It's where future Olympians get noticed.

Every swimmer who competed this summer added to the legacy of SST by dropping time, making finals, earning personal bests, and showing what commitment and courage in the pool looks like. We’re incredibly proud of all our athletes for representing SST with heart, sportsmanship, and grit at every level of competition.

The bar has been raised, and the future is bright. Let’s keep the momentum going as we head into the next season.
